Biga: Top Restaurants in the World: Tulsa OK

Biga Italian Restaurant Tulsa Oklahoma

I drove through 28 states in 28 days back in 2010 in a 72″ convertible Mustang but I took the time to eat here twice. I can’t wait to go back! The entire experience was sublime.  It is a very rare experience to find the combination of food, wine list, ambiance, and service that Biga provides.  I highly recommend Biga Restaurant!  -Steve Schappert, Publisher, Home & Art Magazine.

We will be adding to the list as we go but this is a great place to start!

“Great atmosphere! Great food! Everything was so fresh!
Our waiter was great, suggested wines, had us taste wines until we got the perfect one to pair with our meal! Loved that we could sign the bottle & then place it on the fireplace mantel It was our anniversary & even though we ordered desserts, the waiter boxed them up for us & brought out a delicious warm chocolate molten cake with ice cream! It was delicious! We will return.”  – Peggy Hajek Thompson

Chef Tuck Curren and his wife Kate grew up in New York surrounded by their Italian heritage – Kate’s family emigrated from Italy and her grandparents were so immersed in Italian culture they never spoke English.

After moving to Tulsa in the late 70s and spending decades perfecting recipes from all 21 regions of Italy, they decided to bring their authentic Italian background to Tulsa’s restaurant scene.
Tuck and Kate purchased a corner spot on Brookside for the home of their new restaurant. Kate remodeled the space by painting the walls and decorating the interior while Tuck focused on making sure his handmade pasta, bread and desserts were ready for its debut on opening day. Finally after 20 years of dreaming and planning, Biga opened in January 2000. It is now is a landmark restaurant in the thriving Brookside district.

The staff of this family-owned, casual restaurant welcomes its customers like they would welcome guests into their home. This atmosphere carries over to the staff who are as much of a part of the family as anyone — all employees have worked for Biga for 15 years or more.

Diners can be sure that spending an evening at Biga will give them more than just a meal, it will give them a dining experience they won’t want to end.
