About Home and Art Magazine

Architecture answers how we live together.
Art answers why it feels the way it does.

Put them together and you are no longer documenting trends—you are recording how humanity understands itself at a given moment.

That is why Home & Art exists.

Home & Art is the flagship educational media program of BIOS Ministries International Inc., the nonprofit heart of the BIOS movement.

Not because it is fashionable, but because it sits at the enduring junction of shelter and meaning, private life and shared culture, permanence and expression. Long after politics dates itself and technology renders itself obsolete, the way people build homes and mark them with beauty remains legible.

It is one of the few signals that travels intact across centuries.

What survives of civilizations is rarely what they argued or traded, but how they lived—how they shaped space, gathered, rested, worked, and chose to make meaning visible. Home and art form a quiet record of values, belief, care, power, and imagination.

That is the record we are committed to making.

Our Mission

Home & Art is the media and education arm of BIOS Ministries International, is a Connecticut non stock corp and we are filing a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to service, shelter, and healing.

We explore how the spaces we build and the art we create within them become instruments of human flourishing. Every story we publish advances our mission: to document, inspire, and teach thoughtful stewardship of home, family, and planet.

Our Purpose

Home & Art explores how the spaces we build are reshaping what it means to be human. Homes are not simply places we inhabit. They reflect our values, technologies, economies, and inner lives. Art is not decoration; it is how meaning enters form. Together, architecture and art structure daily life—and quietly record who we are.

We examine the built world as a living system, one that carries memory, consequence, and care across generations. All net revenue supports our educational mission: paying writers fairly, building a dedicated Writers’ Fund for creator support and development, and funding community programs in shelter, art, and healing.

Our Perspective

We sit at the intersection of lifestyle and meaning.

Our work begins with beauty—design, art, architecture, and craft—but it does not end there. We ask deeper questions: Why do certain spaces emerge at certain moments in history? Who are they built for? Who is left out? And how do our private environments quietly shape our collective humanity?

When we examine trends, we do not treat them as surface phenomena. We look at them through a mirror shaped by deep time—ten to twenty thousand years of human making. We ask how today’s spaces echo the first homes, and how contemporary choices will one day be read as evidence of who we were.

Lifestyle, for us, is not escape. It is evidence.

Our Editorial Standard

We believe the highest standard of journalism is not speed, but understanding. Our ambition is to create stories worthy of the most enduring traditions of long-form reporting—work that can be read years from now and still feel necessary.

What does this space reveal about how we are learning to live now—and who we are becoming?

Where We’re Going

We are building a record designed to last. As we grow, our reporting will deepen and our tools will evolve. We are exploring immersive and spatial forms of storytelling to help readers better understand the environments they inhabit—and preserve those that may one day disappear.

Home & Art is for designers, thinkers, artists, builders, and readers who believe the future of humanity is being quietly shaped—room by room. Together with BIOS Homes and the wider BIOS community, we are creating something larger than a magazine: a happy, living ministry of beauty, shelter, and hope.

Welcome to Home & Art, a program of BIOS Ministries International.
